Motion Picture Weapons and Special FX

Our technicians are licensed master firearm armorers for the theme park and motion picture industries. We utilize a large knowledge base concerning the safe operation, legal modification, maintenance and repair of firearms, both live and blank-firing.

We promote cast/crew education and emphasize safety on the set to ensure the prop weapons are utilized in a controlled environment.

We possess a BATFE “01” Federal Firearms License (FFL) with a Tax Stamp Classification for automatic weapon manufacture and use.

We ask that you contact our office fourteen days prior to date of your event.  Our sales team will assist you in covering any details such as event date(s) location and size, any theme color coordination, and address any special details you might require. We’ll make the appropriate arrangements for an event deposit, insurance requirements, permits and payment terms — and that’s all! We’ll do the rest!

 

 

Confetti/Streamer Services

We maintain a large inventory of confetti and streamer launchers and paper products ready for your next event or special occasion! We ask that you contact our office at least 7 days in advance of your event to ensure each detail is covered.

Pyrotechnic Services

We are able to offer a wide variety of services involving pyrotechnics. From fireballs and bomb hits to vehicle and dwelling explosions, we can do (and have done) it all.

Firework Displays (OUTDOOR)

Outdoor, large scale firework displays require a minimum of two months to plan, permit and coordinate, and can offer a unique variety of shell choices. Plan on an average show to run a minimum of fifteen minutes. Call for pricing.

Close Proximity Firework Displays

A smaller scale fireworks show, this is a popular option for small outdoor events or gatherings. Colors can be customized to coordinate with the theme. Minimum show is five minutes in length. Call for pricing.

Squibs, a.k.a. “Body Hits”

Three rules...

1. We will not tell you how to do it

2. Squib hits are EXPLOSIVE DETONATORS — we CANNOT sell them to you unless you are properly licensed by the BATFE to possess them.

3. For the sake of safety, there are very strict usage guidelines and coordination factors needed between parties. Call for additional information.

Vehicle/Building Explosions

This style of effect takes a considerable amount of time, planning and cost to coordinate and execute safely and efficiently. 

Permits and location scouting are the largest time concern. Please allow us at least 2 weeks prior to the date you require this shot to file and obtain the necessary legal paperwork and permissions. Without these in hand, we simply cannot (and WILL NOT) perform these types of effects.

Note the necessary permit fees are not the responsibility of Boland Production Supply and shall be transferred to the invoice of the end user—please budget accordingly.
